Hamdi, a 30- year-old Palestinian from Gaza, lost his mother, wife and eldest son in an Israeli rocket attack. His five-year-old daughter survived, but is now paralysed from the neck down and needs artificial respiration. She is cared for in a hospital in Israel. Hamdi´s story is a metaphor for the violation of human rights in areas of conflict.

The situation of the Palestinian population in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip is examined using the example of three labourers from that region. The men risk their lives and their freedom by crossing the border illegally in order to work in Israel under appalling conditions and for a wage far below the legal minimum. But they still try to lead their lives with dignity.

This film reflects on the daily life of Acehnese women. They are victims as well as the survivors of so many years armed conflict between Indonesian Military (TNI) and the Gerakan Aceh Merdeka soldiers (GAM). The video then shows the events before and during 2003 when military operation was carried out. Eventhough most of all Acehnese women have suffered a lot, the war continues until now.
