Through education programs, In-Docs intends to increase filmmaking skills of Indonesian documentary filmmakers by polishing their potentials under series of trainings. All of these means are needed to produce high quality Indonesian documentary films.
Junior Camp was a prior education program that aims to to raise the interest of high school students in making a documentary film. Junior Camp was replaced with the KickStart! in 2004. Kickstart! is a program, the goal of which is to raise the abilities of researchers and camerapersons in using documentary film medium. The films produced by KickStart! will be distributed all over Indonesia through other In-Docs programs i.e. screenDocs! and Docubox.
In-Docs also had managed to bring Indonesian documentaries to national television. In-Docs initiated 4-year co-operation with Metro TV, in creating an educational program which was modeled from In-Docs’ Kickstart! for young filmmakers called Eagle Award(s) Documentary Competition. In-Docs guided their training workshop and production process and at the end the five films were screened on Metro TV.
DOClinic is a program that assists those with the potential to produce documentary film to carry out the filmmaking process. Through DOClinic, In-Docs facilitates the consultation session to discuss the obstacles in documentary film production.
